ITs been highly competitive, 1 could expect that...but i never knew that i hav to work like an OX to compete with UG guys. I was told that environment here is quite cool... & u can make ur life out here......
Its quite rite!! i wish i were a UG guy here ..
Being a PG guy tat too MS student... a lot is expected from us here...
Life made a transition for me...where its almost like i should not take part in sports, which essentially is a lifeline for me!!
nothng is official here, all things are implicit!!
I was supposed to take atleast 3 courses from a list of electives.... My area of interest being Information Retrieval, i pounced upon the very closest subject named,
Search & information Extraction
Then i found some close peers to the subject, namely , Data Mining & Warehousing And Pattern Recognition Systems. I thought this would be helpful....and infact mine was the Best choice But not optimal in terms of toughness of the subjects.
Eventually, all the subjects i choose, are very heavy subjects. Life got worse with the assignmets i got this week...
Oh yeah, i forgot about our classes...
Intro class of all the 3 subjs were awesome.... i was so happy with my choice.
Then started trouble....
2nd class onwards i was made to imagine of Malcom Marshall & Micheal Holding... Their bouncers in particular!!
this week it was all over....no more bouncers.....It was bodyline series which was starting & belive me...we were'nt informed of the same...
Oops...Schedule becomes tight inspite of having loads of free time officially. Now this is the situation when im not a TA or RA...... I can't imagine my life in tat position....Atleast now...iam playing Futball & voleyball once a week & TT regularly. but then, I just cannot dream of playing any sport...
I havn't been to the basket ball court yet!! Unbelievable for myself!!

First Day@ IIIT
First day at any place is as much exiting for a student as it is for a mom for her first child's arrival.
Mine was Almost amazing too...Went down to Tej's place just 15 mins late, considering my reputation for being late :D .We left by 10.30 nd reachd the institute by 12.30...met a Stupid "Care Taker" And got our rooms...luckly v got adjacent rooms(literally by chance).
Then we had lunch, It was much much better than v anticipated. We had north indian lunch And was nice. Then i played TT with our PET Sir, He is an amazing sportsman almost magical speed for his age. he must have been a star of his time for being so good at the game. Neverthless, then v played Carroms too!!! but, i ain't good at that... i discovered that tej was good at that & again PET sir :O man... he is damm gud..& other PET sir (kishore ) was also too gud at this... then v planned out for Foot ball.time was 5 & it was all Hi-5. by 6 enuf ppl came up so that v cud play a gud game... enjoyd a lot...both PET's play well(very well). Ther's a final yr B.Tech studnt who plays very well too!! His dribbling is the best i hav seen as of now!
Then time for dinner... just as v finishd our dinner(south indian), i felt an itching sensation all through my thigh's,hands,face etc..then i realized, somethng had bit me during the futball game. I had a big Swollen spot on my right hand... i thot of forgetting it...but cudn't leave it as it was quite big in size... i rushed to admin' office... they called out for an ambulance [:O] i was rushed to the doc's place & then to his clinic... to get treatment...got an injection & a few tabs too!
But wats most exciting is that... i probably am the first person in this world who travelled in a college ambulance on DAY 0 of college... i hadn't been registered with the college yet by then!!! And guess what... v had a really fun time in that trip to doc. Tej, Sri(Srimanth) & Koushik had come along with me... hey hey not for support yaar...what wud they do being in colege...nice time pass isn't it!!
Anyways by morning everythng was OK & i culd register myself with college, in true spirits!! ;)
