v Had come back from chennai to recive all the weird responses from all others....lots of criticism...sarcasm in approach towards the football team...after v cameback from chennai..
V were silent...v knew that v had improved a lot....That was enuf for us...
the very next day from return 3 platers of the team including me...startd practicing...lots of passing n stuff instead of goal scoring...
Coach was happy....He immidiately Talked to DEAN to send us to the ICFAI tournament....an impossible feat after losing 6-0 in chennai...But well, how many ppl knw that v lost to Madras Univ. & they were the finalists of the event :O
After 3 hour long discussion DEAN Agreed to send us... v were prepared very little but were confident about the team....now tat v knew what we had to do....And how!!
Someone very rightly said "Experience is One thing that you never know how & when u have gained"
with my consistent performance in the practice sessions..... I was promoted to the main team this time...(also backd up by absence of few players for diwali :D)
I love playing in mid-field but was playing a defensive Mid-field position...
But then my attacking nature wasn't goin to leave me... I always with my full energy (of CWG'2010 :P ) shuffled forward and back....
I Opened the scoring for the team in the first Match........ It should have stopped there..if we hadn't gone to chennai before this tournment..... The passing has improved so much that.... I opened the Scoring for my Team in every Single Match of the Tournament Till Finals.....I know I scored 3 goals in 3 games but it was my team that made it possible.....So happy to say this so many times...
Soon after the day we entered the Finals....our Team gave me the Golden Boot award :)
but it however Would have been satisfactory only if we had won the tournament....And how best it would be...when the finals is against the Host team...It had to Rock!!!
Lots of injuries & heavy tackling game went on, on the final day .... A steady Rock shall always be steady...And we did so the next day....I played a very defensive role..as they scored the first goal...and hence din't score any goal....but v won 2-1...,again was applauded for my goodwork in the defence...
Got The Trophy (size over 1 feet) nice one...wud upload the pic soon....
Also won a Cash award of Rs.8000.
Management is extremely happy....So are our Coaches...
Life is Beautiful.....
Everything is fine till now....Tournament was from 21-25 ...i Delayed this blog cos of heavy deadlines under the sleeves....Infact even now it wouldnt have been done without shek's interference.... Still under deadlines.... Iam again on a marathon now!!....Second after comming to IIIT....last time it was 38 hrs on the traught....i donno how long this shall last.....

Backing up on the chennai event...
As told previously .... I was selected to the team. I always believed in my ability but then... I knew that i was going to chennai only as a replacement (a.k.a Substitute) to the main players. My point was to make a mark for myself...
We never went to chennai with a false belief of winning the tourney or even the first match...But what we expected was to play well. Our first match was with the Hosts, Madras University!! They had a 3 month training camp before this event begun[:O] ham logon ka to...3 din ka tha...jisme main team came for only the last day ;))
The time had come...The game had started...20 mins gone...No scores....but 1 main defence player wasn't doing well & our Coach wasn't happy...He replaced with Me... I couldnt belive..im goin in within 20 mins....waise 1 more thing v never played for full 90 mins before that...so Substitutes had to be very strategic....but not in my case..
Before i went near the goal post ...they scored... But still Iron Leg to mera hi tha...
And then The just flourished..... V lost the Match 6-0.
But there was one thing that, v did very well...Learnt from our mistakes...immidiately after the match v realized our mistakes...and the changes v need to make to our team game...Every body is a good player but its the Team that matters...
V promissed to coach, that v wud do well next time....( though he was already happy with our 6-0 defeat....he expected 10 or 12 ...ha ha ha..)
And then the next day v were completely free & hence all the following Pics at the Besant Nagar Beach.....
5-6 hrs of fun at the Beach

Success in succession....
At last, After a myraid of fruitless endeavours....tasting some kind of success now!
Firstly, I had Never thought i would make it, in the IR project. And due to the same reason... I wouldnt get to work under the same Prof.. I was very literally Packing things off..to get back home!!
I always wanted to b in INformation Extraction, for whatever reason.... Wen this wasnt possible, it dint make sense to me. But then it just happend 1 day, Tej helped me a lot in coding using Perl & well all the ideas turned into products. Luckily my Sucking Teammate also produced some gud work. And most importantly my Faculty was impressed with the work.
Second, I just went down to my prof., asked him if i could work under him. He agreed without another Question(now,Whatever that means). I Thot i would suck 'cos of this proj. in which i already faild to submit a deliverable & was almost loosing at the next too.! luckily all the planets aligned together at the rite time!!! Just the rite time . :D
thirdly,
I have been playing futball for a long time now here. Almost as much as possible. Well every student dreams of representing his university & believe me ... I had it too!!
WEll Today i got a chance & U guys knw me... I ain't goin to leave this chance!
Yes baba!! leaving tommorow To Chennai... Representing IIIT hyd in futball. Playing for the inter-university championships!
Ahh!! Dream Come true really!
