Another set of mystic elements follow here at IIIT as the Sports season starts here.

The most played game in India, Cricket , is the game even dog & donkey play in India.

I Applied for Selections & this is what happened in a sequence.

Day 1

As a fast bowler , I thought “ I am not very fit now! So should get loosened up first & then bowl” did a bit of warm up n then decided to go at the batsman.

This is what that happened

Ball How i did that

1 very very Short ball . dint even pitch on the MAT ( half-mat)

2 Short Ball , jst kissing the MAT ( I prefer calling it a short Pitched YorKer

3 Another Shor ball, better than before but after all short ball was indeed short ball isn’t it!

This was enuf for my captain, he stared at me for a second and asked me to F-off from the place… I wasn’t allowd to bowl further.

The our team was looking at a Specialist batsman. I thought “y not try my luck at that”

Asked my captain & he have a chance.

I donno what happened to me…. Suddenly a Rush of blood… new strength!!!

Got the power of Sachin, FootWork of Dravid & Timing of ganguli……. :O

I couldn’t believe myself every time I hit the ball through the covers or point. I slaughtered all the bowlers. Atlast captain noticed me & noted down my name.

Day 2

My Selection was done into a 18 member probables list. Today I had to prove myself to b in the final 11. I bowled again though my captain was hesitant to give me a chance. I stole a few balls & bowled. They were better than on Day 1, but not to my best.

Then came my favorite area of Cricket, Fielding. I created Magic in the field with my swift foot & soft hands. Captain was satisfied beyond doubt & included me in the team as a specialist bats man & fielder.

Day 3

The day was Set, Fine Sunday morning. Just about warm & calm. Match scheduled at 8 AM. Sincerely , IST was followed & it started at exactly 10.

We were put in to bat first. My turn came in soon as our team suffered 2 runouts cheaply & was struggling in every sense @ a score 17/3 or so. My duty was to moderate the innings as it usually happens with any middle order batsman. I went in & as I faced the first ball. I was beaten by the pace of the ball completely & missed out at the long hok. But what I had to c was most amusing “ The Umpire gave me out, for an appeal by the Keeper” :)) so funny.

Then came fielding , if I had to retain a place I had to do well…. Infact I did well & at the end of the day, Created Ripples around the Crowd& was applauded for my fielding efforts & infact Umpire himself appolozised to me for the decision & commended my fielding efforts.

I still dont' know weather i will be there in the team for next match this comming sunday!

but iam praying that i get a chance & this time i sure would prove myself completely!. ( this statement we sportsmen always give :P )
