Raul's Theorem on Indo-European Spending!!

Abstract
When people go abroad, especially students, There is a special problem that we face when we need to spend money. During this trip to finland, and ofcourse my first trip abroad! I have realized very early a little economics lessons and i thought this would be helpful and may be funny too!

Introduction
When i was packing things up for this trip, i also happened to purchase a few euro's. It wasn't a very comfortable feeling to buy out a € for 56+ Indian Rupees. I was thinking while travelling whether this was really that expensive or was i over estimating. Initially i thought, how worse it would be if 1€ in finland = 1Rs in india. Oh! this might be a bit confusing but what i mean was " Lets say if a pen costs Rs.10 in India Then €10 in Finland". Phew!! Amazing numbers, and if things were so, none of us could ever live here. But, what i have found here ( and also proven empirically ) is that if you are earning a little money here, then things are much better than worse.

Theory

Some Theorical standpoints before i mention other things.
Axiom 1: Assume that you are an Indian. And are very comfortable about Indian Rupee. (Notes on Indian Rupee)
Axiom 2: 1 € = Rs. 57 (for latest figures Click Here)

And here comes, the (yet to be famous) Raul's theorem (aka Rahul's Theorem) for Indo-Eorupean Spending!

Theorem 1:
When buying some article in €'s, lets say "X €" then buy the article if you would have been willing to buy the same article in india for Rs. 10*X.

Proof (Empirical):

The following is a small empirical proof what has been laid out in the theorem. Please look at the figures carefully.

Article --------------Cost in € (X)
--------------10 * X --------------In India (Rs.) (comments)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bread(Big Pack)
-------------- 1.59 --------------~ 16 -------------- 20-25

Jam
-------------- -------------- 2.2 -------------- ~ 22 --------------50

Coke
-------------- -------------- 2 --------------~ 20 -------------- 20

Beer
-------------- -------------- 1-3 --------------~ 10 -30 -------------- 50-70

Room Rent
--------------640 -------------- 6400 -------------- 4500-7000 ( Yeah! I really live in an expensive place, something like Single Room apartment near Ameerpet or lets say Abids Main Road)

Conclusion:
So with these little figures and of course with many more to cite. I conclude that if you find anything in Euro's and ofcourse if you have to buy it. Make sure that its 10*X price is less than the corresponding price in indian Rupee. Also, if you are earning a bit here, then you can live pretty well, ofcourse it will always be at the back of your mind that if you save a few € 's they would become Hundreds & Thousands of Indian Rupees. But, well i have realized that it really is worth spending, atleast on food. And, for those who don't earn here, and are depending entirely on money comming all the way from india, You will Starve!!

Hyderabad 2 Helsinki... The Journey & Beyond

It has been a week now that i am here in Helsinki. Quite a beautiful place i must say in first place. I am only unfortunate not to have a camera with me for such a trip. Some poor planning for the trip, surfaced with some very well known Laziness to do some shopping, that i missed out on some crucial shopping such as these!!

Anyways things will be so, if we keep up things for the last moment.(Same old lesson, Learnt again! ;) )

The Journey & Rendezvous with Mr. Chukka Ramaiah ( AKA. IIT Ramaiah )
The Journey has been as much a pleasant endeavour as expected. People told me that Lufthansa is a Wonderful plane, I really don't know much of a reason why they told so, probably in comparision with other airways. But my flight of lufthansa was really good.
If i were to buy the tickets myself, i would have never bought Lufthansa, considering the price shift. FinnAir cost around 30 K & Lufthansa Cost me 58 K. Almost double if i say so.

I had a glimpse of Mr. Ramiah at the Airport, when i was getting my security check done. Ofcourse, as i was nervous, i almost put him aside away from sight. Later as i entered the flight i saw him to my right . I greeted him and he welcomed instantly. What happened could almost be guessed, i said... "I'm a student of CVR"
He smiled and said " ya, i came to your college". Well CVR'ians know what it means!! :P At Dinner & during the breakfast next morning, he gave away his meals to me. ( I still wonder why!! may be he wanted to share a single meal with his wife....WoW!! So Romantic ;) )

Got Down at FrankFurt & headed away towards the next terminal for the flight to helsinki. I was Walking, Walking, Walking & Walking, Walking......
Truly as my pal Suman Kumar had warned me This definitely had to be One of the Biggest Airports that were ever built. Exactly as he said, i must have walked over 2 Kms to get to the place where i had to board the next flight.

Got to Helsinki, a wonderful city, clean, beautiful, scenic, and ofcourse peaceful as any other city in this country!
Saurabh, another student from IIT Roorkee, working as an intern in HUT(Helsinki University of Technology) was waiting there for me. A good sight to see someone waiting for you, even though you don't actually know him. I actually know him through Orkut. Anyways he was waiting for his ciggerettes that i got for him.

Kumpula Campus @ University of Helsinki (UoH)
When the Taxi driver took me to the Campus, My first look at the Campus and i said " sorry dude, you got me to Nokia Research Center, or may be something else, this can't be a university.
Well it was that cool. Buildings that we rarely see in india, security systems that we don't even have for Governament Head's Departments. I can't say more. I'l put up pics when possible!

My WorkPlace & The Culture
My Workplace is amazing, though temporary. I have been promised a workbench to be shared with atmost 2 others, in a week from now. My current workbench could be described this way :
Monitor in front of me, space double as much as we had for a computer at SIEL. A Phone to the left of my monitor. To the left of the Bench there's a Rack...as are at so many other places...in the rooms. And Filled are the space over the Racks with Energy Drink Tins , Wine & Beer Bottles.
(I'l remember 2 put this pic too! )

My Boss here If i may say so!!
Inherently a cool guy, Prof. Petri Myllymäki has been as much a friend as a professor. The very next day i was here, i was told that i was enrolled to a Cruize at the local ferry that day. I cherished some beer with him and had one of the most informal chat i had with any prof. (include Prasad in that list!). At almost the end of the Cruize while he was getting down, he offered me the best Finnish-Vodka Shot his personal favorite choice. Could i deny it ?? Naah!! And then what it went straight down my throat.... Cheers!!.

Note: By the way... he gave me a Nokia 6610 the very day i came here...and he asked me to return it back...i was surprised. He said, take this instead... It looked like a N70. If thats the case i wouldn't miss the Camera that badly!!

Comming up...Hopefully with Pics!!

Moi Moi ! (Bye Bye)

A Journey in time!

Journey in time ??

Yes, its been quite a journey. And now worth mentioning too!
Had a whole lot of things happening in my life, and as always for some reason or other, i haven't bogged for long now!

Here are some of the latest Updates.
It was an amazing academic semester.... with following grades. ( B-, C, F)
The F above indicates that i flunked in a subject...(Yeah! yet again..)
Subject is ANN(Artificial Neural Networks). I can complain about the professor, but well i don't want to.
Now that doesn't mean that i deserved to Fail.
I went to Microsoft Research India for a summer school on NLP.
Anyways next,
I have got a publication, meanwhile. And that was the single most important thing that i have done during the last semester. Also, partly responsible for my poor grades in coursework.

The next good thing(probably) that i had done during this time, was to hang on to an internship offer that came my way, ofcourse via my professor.
I'l be going to University of Helsinki, Finland. on 6th June. I am still waiting for the arrival of my passport from the embassy, but am hopeful of its arrival tommrow.

Graceful Disgrace or a Saturday Nightmare !!

Back to present for a few moments....

Just Reffering to the INDIA Vs Bangladesh Cricket Match in ICC WC'07.
U said something ??
Oh! its ok, man!!
Come...Come out of it...
Leave it i say.

Well don't we know...How badly our team Sucks!!
Oh c'mon leave patriotism behind, and just think for one moment, if there was any disciipline in which India hasn't lost to Bangladesh in yesterday's match ??

Well...They played well & they deserved the win didn't they ??
I Think its high time that we leave all our patriotism for the past generation, Lets live in the present.

Well I'm a Fan of the Indian team too...but only if they win or if atleast they play well. But, This time I'm Backing Teams like Bangladesh, Ireland, etc. See the positive side of supporting them, you don't have to be dissapointed if they lose...well they were brought in because they lose...But if they win. Man...its Awesome.

The way yesterday Mortaza bowled was Rocking...The impeccable line and length that he bowled was something of Training Kit for the Indian Quickies (the so called Quickies, mind you mortaza bowled 140Kmph Consistantly).

The composure of the batsman, the efforts they put in the field....everything...They won the match part by part not just innings by innings. The whole day was theirs.

Look at Ireland for eg.; God knows who their Coach is ?? Look at the commitment they had when they got into bat. The responsibility to play a safe innings, in spite of being on the top of th e opposition.

Who ever the Coach is....Please Teach Dhoni how to play Cricket!!
He is just a hitter, he must have been in the Indian Baseball team....unfortunately we don't have one. So, he is in Cricket team. He either must convert himself to a Cricketer from a hitter or else must quit. Please fans Don't fight by showing statistics!! Remember "Statistics are like Mini-Skirts, what they reveal is suggestive but what they hide is Vital"

Luckily I'm not hurt this time, that the indian's have disappointed. I was expecting this for long, and expecting the same from bangla's too. But not at this level, not in the worldcup ofcourse!

Well done UnderDogs.... ( are they UnderDogs anymore ??)

well now that PAK is out of the Tournament & India is getting ready for an early exit. Looks like this world cup is gonna be filled with much more Juice in it than ever before.

How about a finals between Bangladesh & Ireland ???

I would personally Love it.

IJCAI '07 The First Big thing

Probably not the biggest conference that i would attend in my life....or may be it is!!
Who cares...when i have been lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time. International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence, or IJCAI as it is read as.

huh!!
I just can't explain the grand feeling that i feel.... I remember that.... I have more Esteem than U :D

Life was really Big during those few days...a week full of tired evenings yet rejuvenated selves by the early morning, Back to work...Back to people who really are changing the way we perceive the field of AI. Ofcourse, the platform really setup, and i also got a lot of confidence feeling that i am no less than them. And the kind of work i am doing is worth a mention here.

So many people that i have met....Some very big...some pretty small (as small as iam).....Size measured in Experience here.

People as big as Roman De' Lopez, Manuela Veloso, Fritz, Peter Stone(he's a Gem), Prof. Raj Reddy.....
As small as our friends from Spain Salim Kannaan, J'ose' or even the chineese friend Ricardo...

The moments during the week were really one of the most unbelievable & Unforgettable.

I'm Feeling Lucky.

Following are a few pics...

Language Technologies Research Center, IIIT Hyd along with Manuela Veloso

Himanshu at the left, Myself to the Right & our friend Ricardo of China in the center

Fritz, thats all i know about her... along with me is my friend Karthik ( Karthik et al., 2006,2007) :D

Note: This should have been here on Jan 15th... :D
it is as old as that!

Bad Habbits Creep in as Laziness starts its endeavour

19th December 2006 it was, when i last posted here. I feel quite sad to say this. I thought i had got a good enough habit to blog out what all i had to...what all i felt from inside...so many things...that nearly go un-said, un-attended...

Now, it still is the same.....
Hence i have realised the importance of this blog...( well ...i mean i have realised yet again )

I am thinking to update it frequently from now on.
For a start i probably should get back to over 3 months now.... Start finding things that are worth mentioning.

I am Expecting a huge amount of posting for the next 2 days!

Cheers!

Note : I know there isn't much common in what the title says and what i have mentioned here. Believe me, i have developed no New Bad Habbit in the last 3 months. For all the Bad Habbits i have had for so many years.... I'm not able to do justice to them itself...where do i get time for new ones! :D

Black Day..........In Loving Memories Of Laxman

From my childhood days i have always been very Questioning. Anything i do not understand, i immediately ask about it. It didn't happen so with Studies but otherwise, in general i was always very Questioning!

Apparently, during my pre-school days!! when i was in KG classes, I regularly haunted my parents with few straight Questions......

చావతమ్ ఎన్దుకు ?? ( why do v die ?? )
చచిపోవతమ్ ఎన్దుకు ?? (why should v die ??)
చమ్పెస్కోవతమ్ ఎన్దుకు ?? (why do ppl kill each other ??)
చావు అన్తె ఎన్తి ?? (what is death ??)
ఎల చస్తారు ?? (how do v die ?)

These are a few of those Questions that i regularly asked those days.....My parents couldn't answer me, that time....All they could do was Record my Voice....And show me as i grew up!

I was surprised to know that i was so thoughtful at such an early age.

But since then, i never thought about those questions....almost never would have until.....

19th December 2005, a Black day in my Life.... The day in my life, that had taught me probably the best lesson of life! "Nothing is permanent"
A Day of Misfortune, sorrow , Betrayal for some!
a day that had gloomed in many a life...
An accident that Shock our lives out of grounds!
An incident that changed my attitude towards life! A depressing End as we understand life....

much unlike the Dimensions i realized till that point.... a new dimension had blown up! 1 that i never dared to understand! the one that would stretch my imagination...

An experience that led me realize that "Life is never a Bed of Roses"

Miss you Laxman.... Love you

Last year on this day.....I cried a "cry" of my lifetime...... I had no one to share this feeling...except just 1 friend..sundu....to whom im thankfull for being there for me just when i needed...thanks ra.. Thanks for being my support in the most troubled times of my life...

For the first time i had experienced Death....as close as it gets....a friend of mine....who was my classmate....Bench mate....& a member of a gang of 5 ! Four years of solid Friendship......

But, in the game of life....u had to knw the rules of d game first...n then play it!
This probably was part of the rules....

There is another very important thing i recollect, which till today only 2 ppl knew...
me & sundu...
as always...even on that day...18th dec'05 Nite v were chatting...after about 1 AM(i.e 19th Dec) ... i told her... " I sense something weird Going to happen tommorow"

Next day morning i get a message....
A morning greeting doesn't just mean 'good morning'....It has a silent message saying "I Remembered you when i woke up"

-----Laxman

Never before, did he send a message with his name tagged to it.....
I donno y he did so this time......no body will ever know!

This message shall live in my inbox.....almost forever!
A mystery that shall remain unsolved (for me).

I Think god is telling me to shut-up !!
I will go on & on & on......until .......

The Emotional Battles are the most difficult ones.....U Never know if there is a victory or failure......u just keep going.....

In Loving memories of laxman.......

Bad Start for Day 2.....Yet a good finish!!

Day 2 of the sports meet started on a very bad note for me...
on day 1 i had vomited after finishing the 1500 mts race....So i thought it could b b'cos of an empty stomach & today i had my breakfast before the Race!
the day started with 800 Mts Racing & i crumbled after being leader till 500mts.... n thn retired as a leader itself...as i had a muscle pulled out....This decision was very important for me....'cos i had to participate in many more events after this!

Followed by Long Jump....Failed to reach the top spot! But for my own records....my best jump was recorded 4.46 Mts... the best of the day was 4.80 Mts

I had enough of it now!
Rammed straight into 400 Mts race...
Determined to get a medal for myself & some points for the team. I ran tirelessly the entire run.
Very fortunate to have got a very important tip from one of the External Referee who had come to adjudicate the proceedings of the sports meet.

Then it was time for 4 * 400 Mts Relay....After a promising start by mahaveer who stood second in the first lap(exactly as he promised before he went to the track).... an unexpected Breath-Taking Effort came from Prudvi...who hadn't participated in any event in the last 2 days......He gave us an unimaginable 10 Mts Lead in the second lap...I Exchanged Batton with him in the third LAP.....As always i took a leap in my first 100 Mts...And my poor competitor of other team had forgotten his basics & ran as hard as he could to chase me....& in the end got tired b'for he could finish his final 100 Mts....But i had a steady run after the initial burst i gave ....And hence took a whooping 40-50 Mts lead.....Then i had exchanged Baton with Our teams Best Athelete...& two time Best athelete award winner & 2 Time second best in the same(including this year)....This guy just had to Jog till the final moment....And we would win....But as Competitive as he gets...He Ran a less tiring run....only to finish the race... We Won The GOLD.

Medals Tally...

GOLD---1
Silver---2
Bronze--2

By the way...we hav got a track suit from college for our exceptional performance at the ICFAI-Tech earlier this year... we had won their Futball tournament...being the Highest Goal Scoring team(10 goals in 4 games) & also the least Goal Conceding team(just 1 goal in 4 games).

A special Blog for a special person!!..... Touch of Timing!

Answering all the Critiques?? was he? Never should we answer our critiques with our tongue!
Use your best weapon against them! Thats exactly what Dada is doing....
I wouldn't say he had played an extra-ordinary innings, but needless to mention, with the kind of Display he had Put in, that he is Officially Back!!
His Defence was very Good too! Never like before, actually.

With His Display of Rare Extraordinary timing with his willow! he is an obvious here!
By the way..."His First Boundary after an Year's GAP in International Cricket" is one that you can watch Days together....Into his favorite area....Piercing the field!
Tommorow is really the day he wil need to give some work to his willow!

Waiting for Your Response DADA!! not your tongue mind u.....Your willow needs to answer my prayers!

A Good Begining..........must lead to a good ending

The much awaited Sports days(2days) made a gala begining today.....Action started rite At 7 in the morning when 1500 Mts Racec would "lift off" , the rest of the proceedings!

Well long distance running is my first love...when it comes to athletics!, I always used to miss that when in CVR.
Time had come to prove...but not an inch of practice....infact getting up at 7 itself was a huge thing....which dint happen even today!
My house captain....Had bangged straight into my room! And woke me up!
Went to the ground in the most awkward position....looking at me....most people should have "written me Off" , Not until results proved to be other wise...
I Had taken the lead initially, which is not very conventional in long distance racing...but i knew i wouldnt have enuf energy to give a burst at the end.!
I was determined to Complete the race!
I did it....and secured Bronze too!
AfterMaths!! "Vomitings" Unbelievable....but for the first time in my life...i experienced vomitings in a play field!

At 2 O'clock i get a call....."we need u rite here"
i was puzzled....ther wasn't any event in which i was going to participate...then how come ??
I rushed in.....it was 100 Mts relay. & my team badly required a sprinter....they found that in me :P Another medal....this time a Silver.

4 in the afternoon, went to the Jumping pit.....looking at it... i think i can make it!
I was learning to make a jump!
Event was Tripple jump!
i remembered remotely that i had participated in that event about...8 yrs ago!
Rules also came as a surprise to me!
First jump has to b the best jump i thought, went straight into 2nd place with my first jump....in the first round..but the lead that the guy in 1st position was Amazing....my jump was 9.97 Mts, while his was 10.16 Mts..
Nothing very special happend in the second round...but in the final Round another guy who was in 3rd place surpassed me... Not by much but was enuf to snatch Silver from me...
I had my 1 last chance to prove....I made the best jump of my life! hmmm...yeah really!
10.14 Mts...only 2 cm away from the winner!
May b i could hav actually done better!
But, neverthless, that silver is worth a gold! [:D]

3 Medals on the first day.
Now, no one writes me off!
They realize...this 1 is nt a conventional PG guy they r used to seeing...
Anyways 3 cheers to my House Prithvi

Sporting Time.....getting my kit ready!!

Time has come, that i do a bit of jogging. run sprints in the evenings. Chase Vehicles ?? :O
All the mad-mad things that one can imagine to improve upon the running speed.

Once, a hero of CVR now a zero at IIIT, when it comes to Sports.
The Sports meet is gonna start on 15th...well 2 days from now!
And yesterday was the day...i fixed up to start my routine ...........to early :P
My first day routine was so horrible that later in the day i just couldn't Concentrate!

I remember all those golden days at CVR nothing of it was 'cos of CVR but 'cos of friends there! A series of important events...
The sight of the 100Mts event Victory....the technically cunning way that i won the race...its still right here in my memory.
It was so damm Gud to win against a Champion...& surprise the world around me!!
I remember Kranti naming me "Common Wealth Games"

Those days would never b back....

Life here is quite unusual! I never get up as early as 6.30 so no chance for anything like warmup or a jog.
And the otherwise sophisticated Technocrats & Researchers are also quite good atheletes...and infact there are a few who regulary run(daily). I have 1 final yr B.tech student here, who Runs from IIIT to Tolichowki....Mind u, daily!!......Whooping 8-10 Kms.
With such kind of people around...just gotta wait n see whats in store for me!

Dada Alaa re......waiting for the Bengal Tiger to Roar

Dada is back!!!
yes he is!
After a long cruel summer, dada is back in action...very literally here. The winter gets ready for the raging rampage of fire in the form of DADA.
We have seen him in all the shades of an Active, Confident, commanding, even Arrogant player...But his comeback match was something special...(despite being only a 4-day match)
Not many noticed but he actually showed the world that he is rebuilding his career. He became the first Cricketer to field in "Forward-short-leg" position in a comeback match. Actually (for those who don't know), "Forward-short-leg" is a position that the new comer to the team is put in. Debutant or the youngest in the team takes up the responsibility.
Keeping customs away.... Our Dada had different thoughts... He was rebuilding his career...how best could it be, than this...
He surprised everybody in the audience & commentry box when he went in to the field with a helmet on & shin-pads.

Well adding a few Sidhuism's for Dada in this Context....

"You cannot make Omelet without breaking an egg."
"Character is not created in Crisis, it is exhibited" ( So Apt here)

Gud luck Dada... :)

PS:
I have stopped watching Cricket over the last 8 months since dada has been removed from the team.... Now that he is back.... I'l join the party too! This 15th the Carnival Begins! :)

Yaadein....Time for a Flash Back

Every Single time you meet your friends, you feel the immense pleasure that we find in meeting them, remembering the days that have gone by.

Last sunday (Dec 3rd) I had a flash back of over 15years... :O
My best friend had come to hyd, so i wanted to meet her. planned for the evening & very casually as always moved away. This was the only plan for me, Meeting her was just more than enough for me. Who knew the hidden surprises in store for me. I met her & then we went to a mall nearby... we were just about to start our snacks..... Surprise..Surprise...
Much to anybody's surprise... geetha found a guy staring at us. Staring.....it was more than staring. ha ha ha...
after a moment of weird look she said " Chakrapani hai kya ?? "
I looked around, Puzzled. "yup!!".It was chakri & his 2 younger brothers.

By the way for those who dont knw him ... he is a GEM of a kind. He holds a record in school that hasn't been broken yet. I don't believe it can b done so soon! He was topper from 4th class(when he joined the school) to 10th class & then again in 12th class. He then went on to do his B.Tech from IIT Guwahati in CSE, & currently working with MicroSoft. we had a chat & after some time we dispersed.

I looked at time...6.40 PM. Too early to get back home...afterall i boasted that i wont b back home till 10 :D

Now it was time for some planning... I called up my Chemistry teacher, if she could be available. "yes".
Ooo la la...
Meeting her after a six month gap. Felt unbelievably happy. She has also been one of those very few people, who believed me, when no one else did! Uncle was a great a painter. I always used to look at his paintings to try to understand or to appreciate. But, there were indeed times when I & my sister were the only spectators beyond their house. I used to regularly visit his paintings galary, as they used to stay next door.

But, today ... mam got an album. i recollected that uncle has been conducting Exhibitions. must be of those... But what were these photo's im looking at... All the big wigs of indian Economy, politicians ( Natwar singh....) & Musicians (shankar ,ehsaan , loy, sivamani......)
Again got back to his latest paintings... www.thecrea.com

I went on to meet Mini my childhood friend, probably my first female friend..haha ..
yeah she used to feel like a boss!! she knew my mom, as her father was mom's coleague. I was as always & as iam now..Never liked to write notes in class.
in 3rd class she used to hit me with pencil, and say " Rahul, Notes likh... nai to mummy ko bolungi..."
ha ha ha...the fun we had over the years...10 years of strong friendship in school & 5 years from that time now... No change....same THENGA(Coconut) ...ha haha..

Incidentally i also met a Junior, he brought back a few moments as well.... He reminded me of the Karate Ground where we practiced, the place (rather palace) where i sweated the most.
The Roads that lead to our success. the roads on which we used to 5-8-10 Kms (:O)

It was all over now! i had to leave....
As i was leaving... I saw the Chat Bhandaar where I tirelessly ate in the evenings....Also reminded me of Ankur Bajaj who in this same chat bhandaar once ate Panipuri for 20 Rs. and was requesting his day " Papa please papa...bas 2 rupaye aur" . Imagine guys ( 20*4= 80 , what!!) ofcourse it is 1998, i'm talking abt.

A rendezvous with geetha had turned into a "Virtual Get-Together " . so thanks to her!

GOD

I have been forced to listen for 10-12 yrs that people are indeed called GODS. My friend's brother always insisted calling his Prof. "GOD" .... well but really, we never felt so. did we??
Times have changed, places have changed... Now the fact that we are in one of the finest institutions in the world, makes life quite simply great.
And the word "GOD" we can use for every other prof.... I really mean it...there are some 5 guys out here...whom i for sure can call "GOD"

the difference between teaching, preaching & xxxxx ( i don't know what to call this 3rd category)... yeah this xxxxx is what they do. Their thinking makes us think, their experience is given to us for free.
Believe me, i really don't know what iam Uttering. But, the bottomline is that...
"I Understood What it means to be a GOD"

Some times in life......

Every now n then we find people who change our lives in some way or other..... Sometimes we find people whose -ve attitute lets us learn how not to be...n some ppl's +ve attitude teaches us how we really should try to be....

I have had one such ultimate experience on last sunday.

During my Vacation i Visited Nashik... (mom had been posted there quite some time back)
None of those days were very exciting kind but it was nice to be away from campus for a week especially after the last 1 month of WTF...
But, The Best Moment actually came through a very very sad incident....exactly 45 days ago, mom's coleague had an accident... he is fine now but his wife is bed ridden in hospital for atleast an year now... And then at home for god knows how many days. she has a broken Spinal Cord...( i donno what that bone is called) third bone from the neck, completely got Smashed ... a bone replacement operation was done & she is just now able to move her limbs...
I haven't seen many people in those situations...but really none of those i have seen were so courageous... so inspirational...The Shine in the eyes... the warmth on the face... the attitude about life... so uncharecteristic... infact today for even the smallest of accidents people behave as if the world has over for them... But this woman & her charm is one of the things that i would remember for ever...

The pain that she is going thru....i donno...well no one knows really... But the way she talks at even this stage...pulls out a couple of jokes frm nowhere....Laughs till she can hold the pain... Gives a smiling warm welcome to every one who visits her... Responds to every single person...

I have known from my study about her that she was a very very hardworking woman...is a housewife, but would never b sitting idle. Always doing something or other... always working on somethings...

And i believe even in current situation she is yet the same... I still can't recollect which one thing was that ..that was really inspiring... may b just that moment...But that was it.

I almost never go to temples....unless friends insist...And praying is not in my dictionary.... But after a real long time... I prayed for her that night before sleeping...

That is the impact she has had on me.I really wish she would be back in form.

AfterMaths of Chennai Trip

v Had come back from chennai to recive all the weird responses from all others....lots of criticism...sarcasm in approach towards the football team...after v cameback from chennai..
V were silent...v knew that v had improved a lot....That was enuf for us...
the very next day from return 3 platers of the team including me...startd practicing...lots of passing n stuff instead of goal scoring...
Coach was happy....He immidiately Talked to DEAN to send us to the ICFAI tournament....an impossible feat after losing 6-0 in chennai...But well, how many ppl knw that v lost to Madras Univ. & they were the finalists of the event :O

After 3 hour long discussion DEAN Agreed to send us... v were prepared very little but were confident about the team....now tat v knew what we had to do....And how!!

Someone very rightly said "Experience is One thing that you never know how & when u have gained"

with my consistent performance in the practice sessions..... I was promoted to the main team this time...(also backd up by absence of few players for diwali :D)
I love playing in mid-field but was playing a defensive Mid-field position...
But then my attacking nature wasn't goin to leave me... I always with my full energy (of CWG'2010 :P ) shuffled forward and back....

I Opened the scoring for the team in the first Match........ It should have stopped there..if we hadn't gone to chennai before this tournment..... The passing has improved so much that.... I opened the Scoring for my Team in every Single Match of the Tournament Till Finals.....I know I scored 3 goals in 3 games but it was my team that made it possible.....So happy to say this so many times...

Soon after the day we entered the Finals....our Team gave me the Golden Boot award :)
but it however Would have been satisfactory only if we had won the tournament....And how best it would be...when the finals is against the Host team...It had to Rock!!!

Lots of injuries & heavy tackling game went on, on the final day .... A steady Rock shall always be steady...And we did so the next day....I played a very defensive role..as they scored the first goal...and hence din't score any goal....but v won 2-1...,again was applauded for my goodwork in the defence...

Got The Trophy (size over 1 feet) nice one...wud upload the pic soon....
Also won a Cash award of Rs.8000.

Management is extremely happy....So are our Coaches...

Life is Beautiful.....

Everything is fine till now....Tournament was from 21-25 ...i Delayed this blog cos of heavy deadlines under the sleeves....Infact even now it wouldnt have been done without shek's interference.... Still under deadlines.... Iam again on a marathon now!!....Second after comming to IIIT....last time it was 38 hrs on the traught....i donno how long this shall last.....

Cheers.

Backing up on the chennai event...

As told previously .... I was selected to the team. I always believed in my ability but then... I knew that i was going to chennai only as a replacement (a.k.a Substitute) to the main players. My point was to make a mark for myself...

We never went to chennai with a false belief of winning the tourney or even the first match...But what we expected was to play well. Our first match was with the Hosts, Madras University!! They had a 3 month training camp before this event begun[:O] ham logon ka to...3 din ka tha...jisme main team came for only the last day ;))

The time had come...The game had started...20 mins gone...No scores....but 1 main defence player wasn't doing well & our Coach wasn't happy...He replaced with Me... I couldnt belive..im goin in within 20 mins....waise 1 more thing v never played for full 90 mins before that...so Substitutes had to be very strategic....but not in my case..
Before i went near the goal post ...they scored... But still Iron Leg to mera hi tha...

And then The just flourished..... V lost the Match 6-0.

But there was one thing that, v did very well...Learnt from our mistakes...immidiately after the match v realized our mistakes...and the changes v need to make to our team game...Every body is a good player but its the Team that matters...

V promissed to coach, that v wud do well next time....( though he was already happy with our 6-0 defeat....he expected 10 or 12 ...ha ha ha..)

And then the next day v were completely free & hence all the following Pics at the Besant Nagar Beach.....

5-6 hrs of fun at the Beach

Time for Deep Diving... ;)

Every one Taking it on AVi..... Attempt to rape :P

Beach Soccer...The Brazilian Way

Avi And PP....Good frns & important members of the team...

Almost the Full Team....few members missing

Jolly Volley

The Winning Team

That was it about Chennai....Had basically Lots of fun...& a lot of experience with that trip.

Stay Tuned..
